As the healthcare industry changes with a greater emphasis on quality, the need for smarter technologies increases. But the industry can’t match the desired pace for change without the correct technology partners. That’s why Allscripts believe apps are the future of healthcare and named the Allscripts Top 9 Apps of 2018.

The challenge has been set and is being met by a number of disruptive technologies, entering the industry to make healthcare smarter. Allscripts, as a trusted partner to millions of clinicians across the nation, see this need and have partnered with a number of technology providers, to provide their clients with the apps they need to improve the quality of healthcare, while remaining compliant to regulation.

They have announced their Top 9 Apps of 2018 and given healthcare automation is our mission, we are honored that Relaymed has been included on that list in recognition of our efforts.

Relaymed works seamlessly with Allscripts Professional and TouchWorks EHRs. Find out more about our long term partnership with Allscripts.

Allscripts Top 9 Apps of 2018

Tina Joros, JD, Vice President & General Manager, Open & Allscripts Practice Management Business Units compiled a list of the 9 best third-party apps featured in the Allscripts Application Store. She examines not only how each can be used, but also how it brings value to the user, and, ultimately, the patient. The apps are listed in the latest edition of their eMagazine.

We are excited that through our partnership with Tina and the Allscripts Developer Program, Relaymed has been named as one of the Top 9 Apps of 2018.

Automation saves time

In a busy physician practice, time is the most precious resource – especially time in front of patients. That’s why so many of Allscripts’ most popular developer applications are ones that eliminate time-consuming tasks. Relaymed is one of those apps.

With Relaymed, this is a testament to the need for POC connectivity in primary care labs by automating a manual process. Typing point-of-care test results into the EHR is a time-consuming process for staff that also wastes the time of providers who are waiting on them. Automating the transmission of test results, from POC device to EHR, creates significant improvements to practice workflows. Staff are no longer caught up in the process, reducing delay and allowing them to focus on caregiving.

In the 5 years that Relaymed has been part of the Allscripts Developer Program, we’ve saved 150,000 test results (and counting!!) for their clients, amounting to over 5,000 hours of saved time.

Relaymed has a positive return on investment, as it can help recover both wasted client time and lost test billing revenues of up to 20% for those tests previously not recorded in the EHR.

This is the value that Relaymed brings to the table. Billed on an affordable monthly basis, any practice can reap these benefits in no time at all.
