Relaymed launches interface for Quidel point-of-care coronavirus (COVID-19) test

We’re delighted to announce today that Relaymed has launched an interface to the electronic health record for the new rapid point-of-care test from Quidel, to be used with the Sofia 2 Fluorescent Immunoassay Analyzer, for the rapid detection of SARS-CoV-2.

Quidel has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market its Sofia® 2 SARS Antigen FIA.

Sofia 2 is Quidel’s next-generation version of its best-selling Sofia instrumented system. Sofia 2 utilizes the original Sofia fluorescent chemistry design to provide an accurate, objective and automated result in just 15 minutes — Relaymed will then accurately save the result in real-time into the EHR.
